The Winter War... It was the darkest hour in history, for in its cold clutches many died. Blood spilled on the streets of Karakura Town, it was a day of indiscriminate death, as both sides suffered horrific losses. Both Arrancar and Shinigami died on equal terms, both victims of the merciless thing known as war.
Sôsuke Aizen fell along with Captain-Commander Shigekuni Yamamoto Genryûsai. They were casualties of their own mutual hatred, destroying one another in a cataclysmic wave of flame and reiatsu as their Zanpaktou shattered against one another, engulfing the two Shinigami in a torrent of destructive power, slaying both.
Many more than the two legendary Shinigami died however, several Captains and their Lieutenants fell in battle, along with the majority of the Espada and Numeros armies. However, some members of the Espada did manage to escape death, along with remnants of Aizen's Numeros.
One-hundred years have passed however, the Gotei have recovered from their losses and the Living World is back to a state of relative peace with Hollow activity down to a minimum. Though not all is peaceful, for in Las Noches the Espada have a new life, preparing whatever war they desire. Though there are rumors behind the activity of the remaining Arrancar, that the Espada are led by a far darker individual, one who would boast a power greater than any other known being in existence.
So now the clock turns, forever moving deeper into the turmoil of ages, the Timeless War. Where will you stand? Will you join the Gotei and uphold justice? Or will you aid the Arrancar forces in their eventual war upon the walls of Soul Society? The choice is yours, for all will be consumed in this neverending struggle.
